Today we will define the internet. Not in the technical terms but for the purpose of laying down a foundation for making Income through your Computer or mobile. More technical definitions can be gotten fro the Wikipedia and Tech Blogs.

I will let you come up with your own definition of internet starting what you know to the unknown plus now how you can commercialize the same.

Q. Why are you on the internet in the first Place?

Information: Yes it is, that’s all the readers and internet surfers are relating to. Anything else is an add-on. Just like in your mobile phone you have Phone book, voicemail and Sms functions anything else is a luxury, which makes your phone usage experience better and interesting. But can you imagine a cell phone with all the fancy games, internet search, ring tones, color screens, flap and slide designs etc, but it could not call or sms. The gadget would be as useless as a toy wrapped very well to give your parents as they celebrate their 25^th anniversary.

Now What’s my point?

Information is the backbone of the internet.

Please say that to yourself ten times and if you can’t get it. Or even better Do slaps at the back of your head until you finally get it.

Information being the backbone of the internet it creates two broad categories of people:

1. Those who have the information and
2. Those looking for information

These two categories have two similarities that puts them on a common platform on the internet:

1. • Number posses some knowledge and is using certain tools to communicate.
   • Number Two has a quest for knowledge in a particular area and is using certain tools to retrieve what number one has.

I will give you a story of one student who was eager to be successful. He took a step and approached his Professor a learned individual with superior insight that you may never have thought of or even read about. He is known to have coached many successful people in Europe.

Student: hello, Professor

Prof: Yes, My Son

Student: what can I do to be successful?

Prof: Very easy My son.

Prof: I’ve visited your house and I know as you walk by the dinner table there is an aquarium with a gold fish in it.

Go and befriend the gold fish in the aquarium and when you are able to communicate you will be successful.

Given the authority of the professor the student of heeded and did as instructed.

The task…

The student went to the aquarium tried to maintain eye contact but the fish continued with its business and did not pay any attention to the presence of the student.

He (the student) tried to wave doing all sorts of gestures but the gold fish did not become a friend. He was frustrated and confronted the professor.

The professor advised his scholar to work a little harder and he would be going somewhere for two hours and we be back to see to it whether the student has managed to befriend the gold fish so as to achieve success.

Two hours passed no success and now heading on to the third hour.

The student got tired of standing facing the stubborn gold fish in the aquarium and trying out all tricks and lessons he had learnt in the professor’s class all through and worse still the fish did not befriend him.

Just on the third hour the student noted that the fish was not getting tired. Its eyes were wide open and continuously opened and closed its mouth moving round the aquarium. The student took after the gold fish and tried the same stunt: he bulged his eyes out wide open and opened and closed his mouth at the same rhythm with the gold fish.

Suddenly The professor appeared and got the student in the act.

The student was so pissed off and he didn’t feel successful at all but rather felt cheated and the professor had made him make a fool of himself.

The professor said easy my son.

A quick lesson is: If you can’t change something you will get influenced by it.

The deeper Lesson: If you are the gold fish you are successful and you are a leader. You have known your purpose and are able to influence others to follow you and to copy your behavior hence your success. To know your purpose and live up to the task is success, and you will never get tired but you will do what you have to do passionately and you stay put regardless of external factors.

With that attitude then you are ready to be an internet marketer in the area of your passion where you will become a leader. If you already are a leader then we will affirm the same position and bestow you with more confidence.
