2.3 Becoming an Authority on your Niche

A niche is different from a target market. A niche knows who your real live customers are. It’s hard to determine your niche while still drawing your business plan on paper.

It’s seems stranger that may be you’ve never heard about this or even read about it anywhere before.

Google founders didn’t know that they would have all the products they have today. A dream is like a seed that grows and later becomes a big tree. It starts from simplicity to complexity.

Like I told you earlier the internet is based on information, but it’s not as simple as that. The internet has taken dynamic forms into unfathomable complexity and sophistication that no one individual can figure out by themselves.

My point is: you start with an idea of what your target is but be ready to change with times and allow yourself to explore the unknown. Invest yourself to be a leader and a pioneer in many things.

Am not commissioning you to start new things of your own. Isaac Newton discovered the Law Of Gravity, but it didn’t stop there more people have come across and made more discoveries based on the same law. It’s This that we call creativity. You have to be a creative and innovative person to be a leader.

If you remember I told you earlier that we don’t have customers on the internet but rather we have fans, loyal readers/ users/ subscribers, we have a community.

Why is it that most professional web developers can make the most fascinating websites and never ever make a dime out of it?

I respect web developers and I don’t mean to offend anyone, if you are a web developer continue reading and this book will be an additional point of strength to what you already have.

So where were we?

My intention to write this book is not to recruit web developers, there are colleges and syllabuses that can do that. Don’t panic and feel like your hopes have been put down. I’ll not only make you a web developer but also a community developer who is willing to be a queen or king of the people.

This is what am referring to:

You must not only be perceived to be an authority in your area of operation but you must be an authority by design in every piece of yourself so as to lead your target army that has now become a niche.

Knowledge is power that increases on using.

You must pledge to build a community of love, responsibility and devotion.

Later on you’ll see why.

If you are planning to trick a few souls to buy your products and then you disappear in thin air, Then consider this book a waste of your time and money, click delete, empty the recycle bin and hire a professional hacker to surgically remove it from your computer system and/ registry. Or even better if your are reading the print version, then pluck each page and make paper aero planes and fly them each at a time all the way to the trash can. That way you’ll have had fun and not feel the pinch.

Away from hype,

If you want to succeed online you must be ready to be a leader. I once had a web hosting company that happened to lose my databases while they were transferring hosted data to new servers. I emailed them to enquire and they said the data was lost and there is nothing they could do. I don’t like digging into old wounds, I had my own back up but I wanted to see some form of leadership and responsibility. I know I have rights and should demand compensation but sometimes the pains of legal process are not worth the pursuit.

If you happened to have graduated there are costs that either you or your parents incurred, monetary or otherwise. The same in life, life lessons have a cost and that’s a positive way of viewing unfortunate situations and that kind of energy, passion, positive attitude to shake your dust and move on is required to make it in the online business.

Again, you must be a leader and a coach of yourself so that you can paste the same skills unto others.

Now go on rank high, dominate and you will live your life purely on profits.

Online business is just some fellow hiding behind the computer screen and doing some tapping on the keyboard at the speed of light.

If you want to earn income for a longer span than a Holly Wood marriage then you must be prepared to invest in Quality and be very knowledgeable and above all be a leader. You will become a leader when you start accepting responsibility in small things and that’s how the law of attraction will award you with higher and higher responsibilities.

Be ready to lead your team to success through thick and thin. Be prepared to figure the way in the bushes, always remember that you are dealing with real live humans who have real live issues and are looking for real solutions. You can’t mess around with people’s destiny but you must show love, responsibility and devotion.

When you make a promise be certain to fulfill it. It’s better to under-promise initially and then over deliver when time comes. Most internet marketers fail because of greed and once they fall, they never rise again, they are completely forgotten and that’s how they become desperate and turn into spammers and hackers.

Therefore, when you make a promise its like spitting on the ground, when you break that promise it’s like going back to your spit. “A person who breaks a promise is like a dog that goes back to its own vomit”. I mean how low ca you get to be compared to a rascal.

Integrity is all there is in becoming an authority in your niche. I don’t want this to sound like some personal development book, however remember people don’t buy products they buy you.

It’s who you have become that they have bought.

When you meet an officer who’s skinny such that the cap is falling on his ears and he has that little crown on him. If he blows the whistle what will you do? If he instructs you to pullover will you? Now, that’s authority in daily life.

How are you perceived to be an authority on the internet?

Still here you can’t fake it

Just like a dog can sniff fear in you, the same your readers will be able to tell if you are an authority. Just by reading the first few lines of your sales letter plus how you respond to their queries they can tell if you are a quack or are solid with your act well held together. They won’t write it on the wall but deep down they know you are and that’s why they keep coming for more.
