InfoWatch CryptoStorage is a reliable means of ensuring confidentiality of data with which you can: Protect the data stored and processed on a personal computer and local network resources; Ensure security of information stored and used on laptops and removable media. InfoWatch CryptoStorage provides comprehensive capabilities for data protection. The solution provides installation of cryptographic protection for: Individual files and folders, logical drives, including system and boot areas, Removable media (USB-drives, Flash-drives, memory cards for mobile devices, etc.) as well as allows the creation of secure data repositories – the designated container files.

The container file can be installed locally, including on removable drives or a network resource. After connecting the container with the help of the InfoWatch CryptoStorage it will be possible to work with it as a secure virtual logical drive. In the disabled state the encrypted container looks like any ordinary file of unknown format. In addition, the container file can be copied, recorded on CD and DVD, sent by mail, or transferred to another computer with this solution pre-installed. At the same time the possibility to connect the containers is not lost.

Work with the encrypted information is performed in the “transparent” mode. Confidential data is initially encrypted, then when reading the encrypted data from the disk, they are automatically decrypted, and during recording – is automatically encrypted. Operations associated with installing, reinstalling, and removing the protection are performed in the background.

Access to protected information can be obtained only by its owner, who knows the password. The owner can also grant access to encrypted data to other users. If the protection is installed on the system and/or boot drive, the user authentication is carried out before loading of the operating system.

InfoWatch CryptoStorage allows installing protection for the data that are on other computers within the LAN. Thus, it is possible to create a system of centralized storage of secure information, with multi-user hierarchic access.

Using InfoWatch CryptoStorage, you can easily store or transfer data to a laptop or any medium without fearing the consequences of their loss, theft, etc. The protection allows a clear limitation of the number of persons admitted to confidential information.

Security

InfoWatch CryptoStorage ensures protection of temporary files and operating system swap file, log files of the applications, the contents of memory, stored on disk during the transfer to sleep (hibernate) mode, the memory dump(crash dump) file data, stored on disk in an emergency. The protection of these files is necessary because, based on their content one can get access to multiple user data – passwords, logins, account records, and the actual information each user worked on. By enabling full encryption of partitions, including the system partitions, InfoWatch CryptoStorage provides reliable protection of such data.

Thanks to the restricted access to the encrypted information from the network, the solution enables you to safely work with confidential information not only on an individual computer, but also when it is connected to the LAN.
